Clothes Show Live

Hello everyone.

I am going to be doing a series of updates over the next few days with maybe some reviews from my trip to the Clothes Show Live this last weekend. I had a fabulous time.

I will be doing a general review of the Clothes Show Live alongside the review of the various catwalks I went to along with pictures. It will also include some excellent interviews with a few of the many companies at the show.

It will also include a haul video and a video log of my time. My first video log - so excited

Kathryn.

Ps - look who I met at the show - Peter Andre!

Wikaniko Foundation Review.

I went to a make up party a few months ago and I bought the company Wikaniko's barley foundation. It is the easiest to apply considering I am not good at applying make up for myself. It looks like you are not wearing any either which I love because it is au natural look.

However I think that now I have developed my confidence with make-up over the last few months. I would shop around for a more convenient brand because it took forever to arrive and it is going to be problematic to re-order. On the other hand if you are a lover of all things Wikaniko it is the perfect buy for you..

Beauty tip #2

I only learned this the other week. Hairspray is a better nail varnish remover than nail varnish remover. It is considered to be not as toxic to your nails. Win win.

Scarves are out again!

Today's outfit

I was really cold this morning. So I decided to add a scarf to an outfit I wear a lot. I can't believe I have never done this before. I love it. It is quite girl next door. I felt quite grown up meeting my mama for a breakfast date at Sainsbury's. Have you got your scarves out yet or do you not wear them? Share your thoughts.

Nails

I thought seen as I got a free varnish in Glamour UK this month. I would give it a go. I asked my Aunty M to paint them as she is just a love and I'm not as talented. Hehe. Plus she cheers me up so much. It is slightly darker on the nail than anticipated but I love it. Very Christmassy.

The Motivational Way for Women

As a disabled woman, society and life are not the easiest things to be a part of because there are predetermined expectations from people of what I am able to do, how I am expected to behave and who I am as a person. The truth is I can do anything I want to put mind to all you need is motivation and a determined positive attitude to succeed. I used to think that I could achieve certain tasks through hard work and luck. Yes, hard work is still part of the formula but the luck certainly wasn’t, it was because I didn’t believe in my abilities. I am here to share with you my story of how I defied all the obstacles that I faced.

I have faced a few challenges in my life so far but most were down to the negativity I surrounded myself with. This made me lose focus on what I could actually do because the negativity made me feel sad and unmotivated to do anything. I believe that this was due to a variety of reasons such as a lack of a true understanding of who I am and associating with the wrong sorts of people and other problems I wish not to disclose. It is this lack of happiness that was not allowing me to reach my full potential. It has even been proved by educational psychologist Maslow who says that everyone needs the basics such as food, drink and shelter to survive but they also need happiness before they can achieve anything meaningful in their lives.

I bet you are asking, well how did I achieve this? I am going to tell you. It is not a easy task but it can be accomplished. I have and I now feel completely refreshed and revitalised and have evolved and I am ready to conquer everything I want to do.  My advice to you all is to believe in yourself first and foremost but once you believe in yourself, believe in what you want because if you believe in it – just do it. It doesn’t matter if you are in full time work or a stay at home mum if there is something you believe in – go for it! If it was meant to work out it will. I know some of you are probably saying that but I have kids I need to be there for them. My advice to you with this is you can look after yourself and care and be a good mother to your children. There are many examples of this in society with actresses such as Amanda Abbington and Sara Gilbert and business women such as Karren Brady achieving their goals but being good mothers too.  Another piece of advice would be to not set a time frame or goals for this to happen, but if you do be prepared for them to change because it is more than likely they will change. An example – I was supposed to be a qualified teacher this year but it won’t happen until next year but that does not bother me because it is still going to happen.
To sum up I would say that we all go through challenging times or face obstacles but by being happy with ourselves and have the belief in our own abilities. Believe in yourself and the motivation will lead to success.

Beauty tip #1

If you are always on the go and can't either afford the liquid allocation to facial washes. I have a great alternative for you freederm wipes. They are easy to whack in the bag and use on the go and better than facial wash. I use them more often than facial wash and had amazing comments on my complexation. Great for sensitive skin too.

You can get them in the supermarkets so no need for specialist beauty treatment or shops

Animal rocker chic.

I love creating new trends in particular today's which I named animal rocker chic. I think it is great going into this autumn weather because of the darker tones. If you are like me extra unique in the shoe department you can wear the pedro boots with it. It won't look comply. Is that a word anyway I love it so I am having that word too.

Speak soon.
